We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Production Superintendent with our Chemical Plant located in Pasadena, TX.

Essential Job Duties:
Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and or transport our products, as our highest priority guided by Responsible Care principles.

Ensure that Process Safety and Risk Management principles are incorporated into the foundation of department operations. Ensure annual departmental goals and objectives include meaningful Process Safety activities for all levels of the organization.

Provide attention to detail, and dedication to work in order to ensure reliability of the work site as well as high quality product.

Ensure that you and others are respected, supported and encouraged to grow and succeed in their job.

Plan and direct the activities of the process area in a manner that achieves production of quality products in a safe, efficient, and reliable manner.

Review process supervisor and operations/maintenance coordinator performance to identify and encourage superior performance and to identify and correct unacceptable performance.

Work to meet the objectives of the business and logistics leaders to establish raw material needs/usage targets, permissible inventory flexibility, PVC production needs, and shipment targets.

Partner with maintenance department personnel to identify, prioritize, and schedule maintenance requirements for the process.

Provide support and direction for the Maintenance/Operations Coordinator to ensure efficient communication between departments, effective prioritization of work efforts, efficient execution of work, and aid shift team work and productivity.

Partner with internal and external Pasadena plant management to establish equipment outage dates to allow efficient use of Houston Operations resources to perform outage work.

Partner with external suppliers and customers to minimize impact of Pasadena planned and unplanned outages.

Provide communication weekly regarding raw material usage, PVC production and shipment, and forecasting of these key plant functions and issues that can/will impact objectives.

Partner with capital department personnel to identify, prioritize, support AFE approval process, and schedule implementation of project work to improve the process.

Partner with technical department to identify, prioritize, and review process parameters to improve process performance including supporting efforts to define projects for the capital department.

Review process area needs on a daily basis with the Process Supervisors so that effective daily instructions may be provided to the Shift Team and Shift Supervisor.

B. S. degree in Chemical Engineering with a minimum of five years plant process experience.

Good oral and written communication skills are essential.

Prior supervisory and PVC experience preferred.
