REQUIREMENT FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS

Utilizes knowledge of product technology, production methods and procedures to develop short & long term solutions regarding maintenance issues within the unit.
Confer with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards.
Utilizes knowledge of equipment & machine capabilities to develop action plans to increase the reliability of the unit. Recognizes problems & opportunities to formulate action plan(s) for obtaining/surpassing unit standards & achieving production & quality goals.
Review & analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of non-conformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems.
Develop & implement operating methods & procedures designed to eliminate operating problems & improve product quality.
Review incident database & reports to determine cause of incident. Develop causal tree as needed. Document initial incident situation pictorially & track implementation of resolution to insure closure & abatement of cause.
Monitor safety performance & housekeeping within the unit daily. Performs bi-weekly assessment of outfall ground water.
Performs other duties as designated by area manager.
Bachelors degree in Engineering (BS ChemE or BS ME preferred) from a four year college or university;
5 years in industrial field
