The Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, directing and supervising activities and employees in accordance with departmental policies, procedures and regulatory standards to advise established production schedules and desired quality levels. Coordinate and direct functions to accommodate a continuous 24/7 operation. The Production Supervisor must possess the core values of Integrity, Quality, Passion, Accountability, Innovation and Community, as set forth by the DFA Board of Directors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Oversee daily department operations.
-Determine correct operating parameter for product being produced and review with Liquid Manager.
-Assure that the desired product quality blends are achieved through proper operator training with operation and inspection techniques, use of tools and overall job responsibilities.
-Develop and implement materials and procedures to control and improve product quality.
-Coordinate production activities with other functional orders to assure that the needs and problems of manufacturing are communicated and addressed.
-Participate in activities such as training and safety programs in order to enhance the overall effectiveness of the work area involved.
-Promotes safety and ensure a safe work environment and employee work habits.
-Analyzes and researches work related problems, or assists employee in solving work related problems.
-Support ongoing efforts to maximize utilization of SAP within the manufacturing process.
-Ensure compliance with regulations such as GMPs, PMO, etc.
-Direct, motivate, train and instruct production employees.
-High School Graduate, Associate degree or technical school desired.
-State Milk Board Reseal Certification.
-Must have good interpersonal skills necessary to foster cooperation and effectively communicate with others.
-Basic computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets
