This position will support our Power Delivery Division out of our Olean, NY facility.

The Production Supervisor has responsibility and leadership for team of hourly associates and/or team leaders in a defined value stream. The incumbent will lead the implementation and execution of lean work cells to ensure a safe work environment, maximize profitable growth, drive quality improvements, provide premier customer service, develop a technically qualified work force, and reduce operating costs, inventories and lead times through continuous improvements. Oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly expectations.

Administer company policies in a fair, equitable and consistent manner. Establish communication channels which are open and responsive in order to achieve maximum quality production, cooperation and instill good morale to all personnel

Lead and manage team leaders and hourly value stream associates

Facilitate daily shift change communications

Monitor Standard Work daily throughout workstations

Allocate the necessary resources to meet external and internal commitments

Assure that appropriate equipment is provided, adequately maintained and safely operated

Assure that capacity levels are maintained to match demand in the short term and long term

Administer and document training for production team leaders and members

Continuously monitor safety process and compliance

Work closely with engineering, procurement, contracts and customer support, product support, sales and marketing, finance and other functional organizations as well as customers and suppliers to meet or exceed customer needs

May be assigned various responsibilities from time to time normally assumed by Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, etc.

Metrics include Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory, Productivity, and Customer Complaints

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

Minimum of 3 years experience directly supporting operations in production control, manufacturing experience, operations management or supervision

Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Minimum 1 year experience or training in lean tools (5S, Kaizen, Visual Management, Value Stream, Mapping, six sigma, SMED, etc.)
