The production supervisor mandate
is overseeing all production operations including but not limited to
managing raw materials and finished goods warehouses, assembly, test,
configuration and shipping. Manage the
proper execution of work within designated timelines and ensure that products
meet the highest quality level. The
production supervisor must manage and lead their staff effectively by assigning
work and by distributing workload as required to meet customer sales order
Lead the manufacturing process with a mindset of continuous improvement,
highlighting quality item points that can be improved and perfected, set
manufacturing records and track other data related to manufacturing.
Report product defects by establishing a non-compliance ratio. Ensure talent skill
levels are aligned with manufacturing requirements through skills assessment,
coaching and providing training for employees as needed. Conduct inventories
and manage out of stock parts for work orders in progress.
preparation of kits for assembly, subcontractor and production.
Manage and assess individual and team performance by continuously
gauging individual and team effectiveness.
Coordinate and lead
setups of assembly line and process enhancements.

College degree in
electronics or equivalent experience
Possess a good
knowledge of soldering techniques (IPC standard)
Possess a good
knowledge of computer tools such as Excel, Word, and ERP systems. (Epicor)
knowledge of Kaizen, 5S and lean manufacturing an asset. Green belt in six sigma preferred
knowledge of basic mechanics and electronics
Seven (7) years of
experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.
Five (5) years of experience in managing production
