•Monitor and manually execute production jobs and reports as needed

•Interface with customers to discuss reporting outages and to execute critical reports when necessary

•Send timely outage notifications and outage updates using a professional demeanor

•Troubleshoot system processes and error messages

•Work closely with the development team and production DBAs during activities such as troubleshooting errors, deployment of new code and process monitoring

•Be available during non-work hours to support systems when a production incident has occurred

•Monitor and collect statistics about system stability and utilization

•Provide clear communication to management and reporting customers regarding production incidents and their remediation

•Perform system administration duties such as adding and removing users and configuring security within end-user tools like Oracle BIEE Analytics, Answers and Publisher

Job Requirements

Qualifications/Skills Required:
    •PL/SQL development background on Oracle Database 10g+

    •Solid UNIX shell scripting knowledge

    •Strong communication skills, written & verbal

    •Customer service mentality

    •Exposure to data warehousing concepts

    •Flexibility to work remotely and at unusual hours when necessary

    •Knowledge of system administration tasks such as user setup and security configuration

Preferred Skills/Not required:
    •Previous exposure to ETL tools and/or end-user BI applications such as OBIEE, Cognos or Business Objects

    •Experience with database monitoring tools

    •Previous experience in a customer service-oriented role
