Task/Scope of the job: Oversee small production team of 4 ensuring safety and quality policies and procedures are followed as well as ensuring production meets organizations targeted goals. Help establish work priorities in conjunction with supervisor. Receives assignments from supervisor, then assign and train members of the group to achieve maximum efficiency.
Responsibilities/Duties: Be a “hands on” part of the team to achieve production goals. Examine documents, materials, products, and monitors work processes, in order to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications. Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to maximize personnel. Confer with department supervisors and other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes. Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management
Background/Experience/Skills: Experience in a team leadership role and strong leadership skills. Mechanical aptitude with an attention to detail required. Ability to solder and work with small and medium sized bench assemblies weighing up to 20 pounds. Assist the team in achieving production goals. Have problem solving skills to help identify solutions. Experience with “Lean” practices a plus. Qualified Candidate will need to pass drug test and background check prior to hire.
