Maintain and improve the manufacturing performance of a manufacturing line in development and production mode. Operate all aspects of the manufacturing process, from Molding through Packaging and Preventive Maintenance.
Specific Job Duties
Operate highly automated contact lens manufacturing equipment from multiple vendors to include manufacturing, performance monitoring,
and troubleshooting. Responsibilities include use of mechanical, pneumatics, electrical control systems, and in-process computerized information systems.
Independently identify, diagnose, and correct process trends and problems.
Utilize complex and detailed troubleshooting procedures to determine the best course of action for maximizing reliability of complex automation.
Perform corrective and preventative maintenance of equipment in cooperation with Plant Maintenance.
Provide direct input to daily production reports (shift logs) to include shift performance, shift accomplishments, and ongoing issues.
Maintain awareness of activities occurring on other shifts.
Assure compliance with established quality standards, safety and validation/production schedules.
Interface directly with support personnel regarding operational and technical issues.
Support, encourage, and participate in team related activities such as production meetings, in-service training, troubleshooting, shift crossover, and etc.
This position will be 12 hours shifts - days/nights/weekends with hours being 6am/6pm, 6pm/6am.

High School Diploma required. Associate degree in related electrical or mechanical field preferred or technical certification preferred.
Must have demonstrated knowledge of computers and software, strong troubleshooting skills, good verbal/written skills.
A minimum of 2 or more years related experience: Equivalent combination of education and experience.
PLC troubleshooting skills, mold machine experience-electrical and hydraulic.
Responsible team member with ability to get along with others.
