We are currently seeking a Production Test Engineer
Support test technicians in the testing, troubleshooting and repairing of DDN products during Final Integration and Test, across all product lines: SFA10K, S2A6620, S2A9900, WOS. Support Test technicians at CM sites as well.
We are looking for an engineer who is experienced in using programming script languages such as Visual Basic, Perl or Python and someone who is experienced in Hardware test automation and knowledgeable in a Linux OS environment since we build our storage technologies on our hardware using Linux OS.
Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to;
Perform test engineering assignments on new and existing products on the system and board function levels using test automation scripts (Perl, VB, Python) and hardware testing in a Linux OS environment.
Design and fabricate tests and assembly fixtures.
Write production test procedures and automated test programs.
Provide direct support to system test and RMA technicians in debugging and troubleshooting of non-conformance products.
Train production floor technicians in new technologies and test processes.
Serve as a liaison between Manufacturing, Engineering, and contract manufacturers concerning the development of assembly and procedures.
Qualifications for this role are;
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years test engineering experience in commercial manufacturing. Background in Data storage manufacturing is a plus.
Experienced in troubleshooting of computer related product on the system/board level.
Skilled in programming script languages (i.e. Visual Basic, Perl, Python) and Hardware test automation.
Proven skills in testing and quality assurance.
Ability to work well under pressure of meeting deadlines.
Ability to work flexible/overtime hours.
Good verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to work with assembly and test personnel is a must.
Knowledge of OS (Windows, Linux) and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). OS as advanced user is a plus.
Ability to travel in USA and internationally.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
