The Professional - Network Support position is in direct correlation with the Service Assurance Fault Management (SAFM) team supporting Firewall Technology within the enterprise environment. Also responsible for review and analysis of security requirements, works with senior team members to develop integrated plans to protect corporate assets and information technology, and administers security systems to support daily security operations.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Includes researching, recommending, documenting, and coordinating implementation of changes to policies, procedures, facilities, and systems to enhance security as well as developing and delivering corporate security awareness training for users and technical security training for system administrators.
Facilitates compliance with company security policies, practices and legal requirements.
May provide support to non-management employees, including coaching, on-the-job and formal training, reference materials, procedures and system documentation.
Provides information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information.
May interface with other stakeholders including vendors, application development and technical support staff, and clients.
May provide inventory and asset management resources to security operation, including administrative supplies, security specific resources such as SecurID cards or cryptographic key management, and specialized security software.
Expert level technical professional. Technical SME within organization.
Contributes through own development of advanced technologies/concepts with global reach or industry application.
Has direct impact on creation of technical products/services.
Serves as a role model and mentor.
Responsible for the requirements, testing, planning & implementation of new software, hardware & applications relative to new product delivery, systems architecture, process enhancements, infrastructure and security. Provide technical solutions and project management and any/all functions involved in the provisioning, assurance, number administration, inventory, address qualification, and local number portability applications, processes and practices. Participates in software development project activities which may include technical/business requirements and design, and technical writing including Methods & Procedures. May assist in the coordination, evaluation and partnership with technology vendors, outside consultants and internal dotted line resources as needed. Works as part of a 24X7 staff to delivers network technical support to address escalations. Provides the technical troubleshooting and leadership skills required to recover from the most complex network problems in real time to restore service. Identification of root cause, resolution, work arounds, testing & implementation of vendor / IT fixes or design changes. As subject matter experts, works closely with business partners to identify and quantify business issues associated with specific projects, develop and implement business strategy, and assist in setting strategic technical direction in support of customer facing organizations. Review and approve proposed technical systems designs to insure business requirements are met. May assist in providing leadership for projects, including such activities as collaborating with the client to develop business cases, defining business and/or technical requirements and preparing detailed plans and schedules. May lead cross-functional teams on specific issues &/or projects. May review and interpret technical documentation and vendor specifications for inclusion / adaptation into database templates. May perform work at customer location.

3-5 years experience in IT security.
3-5 years of successful network engineering or related experience
Current CCNA certification.
Advanced level of proficiency in fault engagement systems including AOTS and ManageNow.
Advanced level of proficiency in fault management and advanced troubleshooting techniques for enterprise network security solutions.
Knowledge in application security standards and process.
Knowledge in identity and access management (access control and provisioning, theft tactics, etc.) and tools (SecurID cards, etc.)
Knowledge in network architecture and infrastructure components (Carrier-based network routers and switches, IPv6, etc.)
Knowledge in business continuity and disaster recovery (planning, etc.)
Proficient in Security Engineering, Planning and Monitoring
Proficient in security, enterprise firewalls, hardware and software including Cisco, Juniper, and Checkpoint.
Proficient in Cloud Computing (Internet data center architectures, hosting and application services, etc.).
Understands content distribution networks.
Knowledge in security audit, review, risk assessment, regulatory, controls (Audit and control structures, audit processes (SAS 70), Compliance assessment tools, etc.)
Desired Qualifications -
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or Engineering in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Industrial Production Engineering or a technical related field
Six Sigma White Belt, Yellow Belt or Green Belt Certification
Certification in CISSP, CISA, CISM, other security or security technologies related certifications (i.e., CISCO, MSFT, Checkpoint, etc.)
