Duties and Responsibilities

Teach two sections (per semester) of the gateway courses in Organic Chemistry (CHEM 272-273)

Develop, implement, and report "all electronic" curriculum for one section as a pilot project for the adoption of electronic textbooks and other technology-based instructional materials

Be available for consultation during scheduled office hours

Minimum Qualifications

PhD degree in Chemistry or closely related area

Desirable Qualifications

Extensive experience (more than 15 years) teaching undergraduate organic chemistry

Authored at least one widely adopted textbook in the area

Evidence of excellence in teaching (e.g., awards, etc.)

Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and students
