Parsons The New School for Design seeks a Program Administrator to help support the programs of SPACE (Summer, Pre-college Academy, and Continuing Education). The ideal candidate will possess strong organization and communication skills and must be professional, flexible, and collaborative. The candidate must also be able to develop and implement systems and think quickly on his/her feet to resolve scheduling, structural, and situational problems and challenges as they arise.

- Assist Program Directors and the operations staff with course planning, schedule builder, proofing, part-time faculty hire process, and faculty placements
- Coordinate catalog production each semester
- Work with Senior Program Administrator to prepare and update online registration system each term
- Manage classroom scheduling and resolve related issues
- Maintain calendars and schedule meetings for the Program Directors as required; schedule and coordinate faculty meetings and program hosted meetings and events; coordinate and manage info sessions, orientations, and open studios
- Coordinate program related communication flow between the program directors, faculty, and students; draft memoranda, correspondence, notices, announcements and other materials with professional and clear language
- Collect course descriptions and course syllabi from faculty and review formats
- Collect and organize digital files of student work for website and promotion
- Provide assistance and guidance to students and parents in person and by phone
- Support development of new programs and initiatives
- Coordinate processing and budget paperwork of program-related expenses
- Assist Director of Operations to track program budgets and usage; help develop systems to improve efficiency and reduce redundancies
- Flexible in day to day operations to shift focus as needed and as directed by the Director of Operations

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- High level of computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated professional written and oral communication skills and excellent phone manner
- Extreme attention to detail, deadlines, protocol, proofreading and follow-up
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team in a fast-paced and adaptive environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and professional
- Flexible schedule to occasionally meet weekend and evening event demands

Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Art and design background
- Prior experience working in higher education
