Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Science,or a related field(Master's degree in Public Health preferred),plus five (5) years of related professional experience including the development of programs, with responsibility for the research and writing of proposals for such programs.Must have understanding of basic accounting procedures to ensure proper control of assigned budgetary responsibilities. Experience managing federal and state grants (NIH,HRSA,CDC,etc)required.Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.Outstanding human relations and leadership skills,and the ability to function in a team environment required.Demonstrated knowledge is necessary of how to accomplish superior performance in a unionized environment. Equivalent education,experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements,on a year to year basis.

Responsibilities: The primary purpose of the Program Administrator I position is to meet the specific mission and objectives of the Divisions of Infectious Disease,Center for Emerging Pathogens,and Infectious Disease Practice.The Program Administrator oversees the development , implementation,and evaluation of all clinical,research and educational initiatives.Further,the Program Administrator will oversee all aspects associated with administrative activities,personnel management,financial reporting, pre as well as post award grant financial management,within these divisions..Responsible for the development and implementation of appropriate budget controls,business planning and program/practice development strategies.
