We serve federal, state, and local agencies, commercial companies, educational institutions and private research organizations. We are currently seeking a Program Analyst to be based at our client site in Atlanta, GA.
The Program Analyst will provide support to the Division of Human Development and Disability (DHDD) at the CDC. The mission of DHDD is to lead public health in preventing disease and promoting equity in health and development of infants, children, youth, and adults with or at risk for disabilities to live to the fullest potential. The Program Analyst will be part of the Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Team (EHDI) within DHDD.
Job Responsibilities include:
•Assist in the development a variety of EHDI related documents to carry out the broad intramural agendas. This may include recipient guidance documents and program announcements; pre-award assessment of applicant financial capacity; and periodic assessments of recipient performance. All documents must be consistent with up-to-date science and existing legislative and administrative policy.
•Provide technical assistance to state and local governments and to various public, non-profit, and private entities on program and administrative matters relating to the operation, administration, and funding of EHDI related activities.
•Provide technical assistance to improve administrative systems and programmatic activities. This may include assistance strengthening existing administrative systems used for activities including but not limited to cataloging site visit reports, grants administration, In/Out Processing for FTE/non-FTE staff, and advise and assist with the provision of effective and efficient training and ongoing re-training of EHDI staff on updates to administrative systems (CDC Travel Portal, Time and Attendance, Conference Approval system, etc.).
•Serve as the primary contact for programmatic/administrative support and system updates including but not limited to the EHDI Share Drive, Human Subjects Tracking system, CDC Travel and Conference Portals, GovTrip, Visitors Management System, Time and Attendance system as well as the Integrated Contracts Expert system.
•Serves as primary point-of-contact for all Reasonable Accommodation webinars, teleconferences and meetings request, to include coordinating, scheduling and tracking requirements.
•Assist with developing a variety of documents to carry out intramural and extramural activities. These may include the development of guidance documents; periodic assessments of recipient performance, site visit reports, funding packages, clearance packages, quarterly travel reports for site visits and meeting attendance, and preparation of program content and document development about EHDI programs as needed for public dissemination (e.g. presentations, publications, information for the website, Forecast portal, eClearance, etc.), and respond to routine questions from within and outside of DHDD, NCBDDD and CDC.
•Advise and assist with the preparation, update, and maintenance of data relating to the procurement, maintenance, and disposition of material managed by EHDI programs.
•Organize and manage processes to seek advice and consultation from a wide variety of domestic and international entities and individuals. Work with the EHDI program staff to set up and manage meetings; arrange travel and lodging and process reimbursement.
•Assist with convening groups of people, as needed, to conduct technical assistance activities.
•In conjunction with paramount program analyst tasks, may perform for a limited amount of time, tasks such as taking notes at meetings and prepare drafts for review; abstracting publications and insert them into publication databases; conducting literature reviews using websites such as PubMed; tracking staff publications and assist with publication clearance process.
•Travel to appropriate meetings and/or conferences.
•Bachelor's Degree required; MPH or MBA strongly preferred.
