Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support for various Youth and Workforce 2000 Programs at the 1199SEIU Child Care Corporation; assist Program Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator in coordinating schedules, mailing correspondence, data compilation, and student enrollment
  • Serve as first-line source of information for 1199SEIU members and staff on Workforce 2000 program; provide updates and answer questions via phone and in-person for students, parents, and staff regarding enrollment, attendance, and programs
  • Create and maintain Youth Program Calendars and schedules; update databases, coordinate youth program mailings, email and phone correspondence
  • Prepare monthly reports on file audits, parent and student contact information, enrollment, and attendance
  • Maintain program inventory and supplies, coordinate with internal staff on all orders for program materials
  • Facilitate logistics, support and preparation for annual program events and special projects
  • Provide support for all youth program orientations, workshops, internships, leadership groups, service learning projects, retreats and events
  • Coordinate with external partners and follow-up on enrollment, attendance and programming information
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required, some college or Degree preferred; plus
  • Minimum one (1) year administrative experience including high volume customer service required
  • Experience with Youth Services and Teens in a Workforce environment highly preferred
  • Basic skill level in Microsoft Word and Excel required
  • Good keyboarding skills; able to use basic Web browsers and conduct searches
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, staff, vendors, and the public; able to provide a positive service attitude when dealing with customers
  • Demonstrated effectiveness meeting deadlines in a role requiring continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials
  • Experience establishing organizational systems to improve efficiency and functioning in a changing environment; good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including Saturdays and evenings required
  • Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
  • Must meet performance standards including attendance and punctuality
