The Program Assistant is responsible to greet visitors and assist students, parents, faculty and staff. Answer and direct incoming calls for the Office of New Student and Owl Family Programs and return phone calls and correspond with students and parents via the office e-mail. Fax, photocopy and prepare documents and reports as needed. Assist with check-in during orientation sessions and with Parent and Family Weekend. Assist with the maintenance of the Orientation Databases. Assist with the input of reservations for incoming students and sends the personalized confirmation letters to incoming students. Obtain Registrar reports, labels and other documents for all incoming students. Assist with the coordination and distribution of pre-Orientation information to all incoming students. Assist with compiling and submitting Orientation reports to the Directors on each campus. Assist with student program attendance reports to all academic areas. Assist with collection and compiling program evaluation data and prepare and submit reports. Assist with compiling and submitting orientation reservation lists to Academic Colleges for each campus, including for students that complete Virtual Orientation. Assist with the recruitment of perspective orientation leaders, participate in the orientation leader selection and assist in Orientation leader training. Process and distribute all incoming mail and correspondence for the Office of New Student and Owl Family Programs. Assist with verifying student enrollment and administrative holds. Assist with ordering supplies for the department. Responsible for time-keeping for the Office of New Student and Owl Family Programs. Assist with Orientation programming activities.

A High School diploma or equivalent and four years of clerical/office administrative experience are required. Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. Excellent verbal and written communications skills and interpersonal skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred. Experience with MS Access, Banner and/or Dartboard are also preferred.
