Duties And Responsibilities

Program Associate, Program Management

Reporting to the Director of Program Management, the Program Associate will take a strong support role in the delivery of various Executive Custom Program accounts at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. In that role, the Program Associate will have responsibilities including: develops program plans for smaller, less complex programs; records program expenses and generates expense reports for other program managers; purchases and prepares academic materials for program delivery; prepares delivery space for participants; prepares simple invoices for other program managers; maintains inventory and generates inventory reports for review; and gives MSB and campus tours, demonstrating basic knowledge of executive education products.

In addition, the Program Associate will have client, vendor, and faculty interaction often as he or she supports the delivery of programs, so clear communication is necessary. This position will require flexibility in working long hours and weekends on occasion.

Essential skills include outstanding organizational abilities, critical eye for detail, proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word) and outstanding written and oral communications. Some important decision - making and judgment is required, and the ability to act under pressure and in a fast-paced, changing environment is critical. Most work will be supervised and reviewed.

Bachelor’s Degree required. At least one year of business experience in program or event management. Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects. Advanced computer skills strongly preferred. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Critical eye for detail

Confidence to use initiative, ask questions and make recommendations with the end goal being process improvement and client satisfaction

Familiarity and proficiency in the MS-Office suite of programs, especially MS WORD and MS EXCEL.
