Position Description:
Provides technical assistance and counseling to the students in the John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center’s (JPEC) entrepreneurial assistance programs; advises and educates the student entrepreneurs’ organization; assists with K-12 and community college outreach; and promotes programs of the Center.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required.

Required Qualifications:
At least one year of small business/entrepreneurial consulting experience and at least two years of experience working with students in a supervisory or mentoring role required. Experience in providing consultative technical assistance to business or community clients is also required.

Desirable Qualifications:
Degree in entrepreneurship, business, business education, economics, public administration, non-profit management, hospitality, communication, or political science preferred. Experience having owned and operated a small business, working with K-12 student populations, writing funding applications and developing budgets, community engagement and developing strategic partnerships, organizing large events, and coaching students in competition preferred.
