Program Coordinator - Parks and Recreation (TEMPORARY POSITION w/No Medical and/or Dental Benefits coverage) : This TEMPORARY position is utilized primarily to assist with the operations of the Turtle Beach Campground. Additional duties are assisting with logistical support for events, providing customer service at parks and conducting quality service inspections at the parks ensuring safety and appropriate maintenance.

Assist with the operation and management of the Turtle Beach Campground, including assuring proper maintenance, quality control, customer service, complaint resolution and assuring customers are following campground rules. This position's primary responsibility will be to cover weekends, evenings and holidays.

Conduct quality tours of parks primarily on the weekends and holidays, assuring proper maintenance, reporting deficiencies and vandalism and follow up to ensure that deficiencies have been corrected, primarily at beach parks.

Assist with logistical support for events and camps such as regattas, athletic tournaments, summer and specialty camps and beach runs.

Performs a variety administrative tasks as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelors Degree from accredited college or university in Recreation, Leisure Services, Education, Public Administration, Business Administration, or closely related field. Progressively responsible professional experience as described herein can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

Job Based Competencies:
Computer skills including Microsoft Office Professional, RecWare or similar reservation software.

Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with groups and individuals.

Ability to work independently and ability to solve problems and develop service improvements.

Ability to communicate effectively and in writing.

Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel, Outlook.

Physical Requirements:
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Hours: Must be willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays. Work schedule may vary due to split shifts, rotations, emergencies, etc.
