Duties And Responsibilities

& Minimum Requirements:
The Program Coordinator follows the guidelines and plans established by the director to implement the English Language Specialist Program that sends US TESOL professionals to work on US Embassy-designed short term English language assignments abroad. He/She will be responsible for managing the large volume of information that flows through the unit and of all logistics related to EL Specialist oversight and support. The Program Coordinator will maintain the program website and participant databases, respond to inquiries regarding the program and communicate regularly with Department of State counterparts in D.C. and internationally.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years' experience with participant training programs.

excellent writing and editing skills

outstanding interpersonal oral and written communications skills with ability to interact and communicate in a positive manner with a diverse clientele, including universities, membership organizations, program applicants, participants and government employees

demonstrated effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service

proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software applications
