The Department of Physiology & Cellular Biophysics is seeking a Program Coordinator and Assistant to the Chair. The incumbent will report to both the Departmental Chair and Administrator and will be responsible for providing general office support. Duties include will include: answering phones in chair's office, keeping the chair's calendar, scheduling meetings, handling correspondence, making travel arrangements, and processing reimbursements. The incumbent will also be responsible for: event management including the departmental annual retreat as well as professional organization functions for the faculty and Chair, completion of annual surveys on departmental demographic and financial data, conducting funding opportunity searches and organizing fundraising efforts, preparing grant proposal and progress reports, coordinating appointments and terminations of federally funded trainees, assessing departmental IT needs and monitoring IT support usage.
Minimum Qualifications for Grade Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant
Bachelor's degree and at least four years related experience. Must be highly organized and accurate. Should have excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet. Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Bachelor's degree and at least four years related experience including fiscal and administrative experience with related federal agencies preferred.
