Experience in and understanding of academic research environment. Experience with training programs a plus. Grant writing experience/knowledge of grant submission process and grant finances also a plus.

Job Description:
The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Research Institute is an interdisciplinary institution dedicated to conducting basic, clinical and translational research on conditions and diseases that affect children, and is part of The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and University of Pennsylvania research community.
The Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness and PolicyLab are seeking a Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator will split time between two roles: 50% of time will be devoted to the role of Training Program Coordinator and 50% will be devoted to coordination of PolicyLab center programs. As Training Program Coordinator, the staff member will manage two NIH-funded post graduate research training programs –The Pediatric Hospital Epidemiology and Outcomes Research Training Program and the Pediatric Pharmacoepidemiology Training Program. The coordinator will be responsible for program coordination for the pediatricians involved in the programs annually, ensuring efficient operation through all phases of the training programs including recruitment, orientation, evaluation and ongoing follow-up of trainees. The Training Program Coordinator will act as the point person for the exchange of program information between co-directors, faculty and trainees. As PolicyLab Program Coordinator the staff member will provide assistance to the PolicyLab Program Manager in coordination of various financial and administrative aspects of center operations.
