Individual will primarily provide administrative support for the Foundations in Clinical Medicine (FCM) Tutorials course in the pre-clinical fundamentals curriculum of the medical school curriculum. This Individual will also coordinate three, four day back to the classroom sessions in February, March and September for the students in their final year of study (FCM Integration). Working with the course directors and under the direct supervision of the manager of the fundamentals curriculum, this individual will be responsible for: Foundations in Clinical Medicine: Tutorials - Working with Course Directors to determine class structure, timelines, and layout. - Coordinating classroom needs with University Classroom and Audiovisual departments. - Confirming faculty assignments with site directors, sending reminder and introductory course emails to new preceptors; communicating with students and instructors. - Maintaining course websites on University course management systems (Courseworks). - Creating student groups for all course sessions; sending out reminders to students with location and session objectives prior to the sessions. - Tracking student assignments and archiving projects for faculty and future courses. - Coordinating preceptor and student assignments, directing to appropriate sites. - Making site visits with Course Directors. - Creating, populating and distributing student evaluations to preceptors for completion. - Reserving rooms at clinics, confirming actors, assigning students exam times, sending reminders. - Working with the fundamentals curriculum manager to submit all financial reimbursements and bill payments for instructional needs, supplies, actors, etc. - Securing faculty appointments for all new preceptors and faculty members. - Performing other related duties as assigned. - Scheduling and taking minutes for monthly fundamentals faculty subcommittee meeting. - Working with course director and fundamentals curriculum manager to create and administer all student course evaluations and faculty/student evaluations within the schools evaluation system (New Innovations). - Working with course director and fundamentals curriculum manager to create, administer and proctor course examinations in schools online exam management system (ExamSoft). -Organizing faculty orientation meetings. -Organizing patient assignments for bedside sessions. -Final course grade submissions to registrars' office in Columbia's online student services system (SSOL). Foundations in Clinical Medicine Integration: Back to the Classroom - Working with Course Director to determine class structure, timelines, and layout. - Coordinating classroom needs with University Classroom and Audiovisual departments. - Confirming faculty assignments for the sessions - Classroom support for sessions. - Working with CERE on end of course evaluations. - Maintaining course websites on University course management systems (Courseworks). - Final course grade submissions to registrars' office in Columbia's online student services system (SSOL).
Minimum Qualifications for Grade Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant
Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus three years of related experience.
