St. Mary's College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary's City is accepting resumes for a full-time contingent position as Program Coordinator for the DeSousa Brent Scholars Program. The Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the co-curricular work associated with the DeSousa Brent Scholars program, assisting new students in transition, and to support other students through their progression through four years at the College. Ongoing funding for this position is contingent upon the College’s success in achieving the performance targets created by the legislation establishing the funding. This is a contingent position with no benefits provided.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Experience with peer support, residence life, or student affairs desired. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills are required. Consistent with the foundational principles of the DeSousa Brent Scholars program, applicants must demonstrate commitment to supporting students who are traditionally underrepresented in higher education. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered. This position has been designated as sensitive and employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
