Major/Essential Duties of Job
Summary: Supervise, plan and coordinate the activities of assigned international project(s) and act as liaison with in-country Chief of Party and project personnel. Functions include, but are not limited to compliance, sub agreements, financial management, reporting and risk management. General direction is provided by the Associate Director for Business Operations. Manage the financial performance of the project to ensure policy compliance and meet regularly with PI(s) to review work plans and budgets; prepare standard and nonstandard reports, financial analysis, forecasting, and graphs; regularly prepare and submit required forms and financial reports; review cost sharing; and coordinate contract development for short term Technical Assistants. Process all procurement and payment of invoices associated with assigned project(s) and ensure expenses are paid according to contract and donor rules and regulations, within budget limit and timelines, and immediately notify PI of discrepancies. Review, develop, and generate financial reports ensuring accurate and timely completion in compliance with sponsor guidelines; Ensure billings prepared by OSRS are in compliance with sponsor guidelines, grant information, and represent appropriate expenditures; Assist with final project close-out process.
Attend meetings, conferences and training, as needed. Provide support to other Borlaug Institute programs, as required. Other job duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant field, or equivalent combination of training and experience (eight years of experience with a High School Diploma, four years of experience with an Associate's Degree).
Master's degree or higher in relevant field.
Three years of experience in administration, program management or a related field.
Four or more years of experience in administration, program management or a related field. International Travel.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet and database programs. Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Will be expected to occasionally travel to Africa.
