Wellesley College's motto, "Not to be ministered unto but to minister," captures the College's mission: To provide an excellent liberal arts education for women who will make a difference in the world. The Center for Work and Service underscores that commitment by providing students with the opportunities and support to serve others so that students can "Be the Difference."
The Program Director for Service at Wellesley College's Center for Work and Service (CWS) manages all of the Center's community service and service learning initiatives. The Program Director for Service works in collaboration with the Center's Associate Director as well as with multiple constituencies on campus and external community partners to contribute to a vibrant campus environment that fosters community, embraces diversity, and cultivates global citizenship.

The Director will also assist student groups in designing and implementing service projects as needed and will work collaboratively with the Service Council to support existing and new programs. The Program Director will manage all aspects of Wellesley Serves! grants, including student selection, budget management and efficient grant implementation. The Director will manage the community service transportation system and supervise the off-campus Federal Work Study Program.
