PROGRAM: The Other Place PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Other Place is a program of Goddard Riverside which provides a day center for homeless and formerly homeless adults offering activities that improve practical skills and build self-esteem. CATEGORY: Full-time Salaried SUPERVISOR: Associate Director of Programs DAYS/HOURS: Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:00pm ESSENTIAL DUTIES 1) Program oversight and quality assurance
- Oversee caseload assignments, case management, service plans and client records
- Oversee planning and implementation of group activities to promote program goals 2) Staff supervision
-Lead regular staff meetings to discuss client status.
-Meet regularly with rehabilitation staff for clinical supervision; evaluate their work and discuss progress of their clients
-Provide staff training on client care issues and agency policies and arrange for outside training as needed
-Recruit, hire, evaluate, discipline and terminate staff as needed 3) Site supervision
- Ensure a safe and structured environment where clients have access to the service they need
- Perform crisis intervention as needed 4) Community and agency liaison
-Serve as liaison to other programs in GRCC’s mental health continuum, to ensure good referrals and smooth transitions
-Serve as liaison to GRCC management and program directors and relate agency-wide information to staff
-Serve as liaison to the church on all space issues
-Serve as liaison to related community programs 5) Program development and improvement
- Prepare program reports
- Assist in developing program budget and monitor program expenses against budget

Skills
QUALIFICATIONS - Master’s Degree with Licensure in Social Work
- Experience with the mentally ill population
- Supervision experience
