This position exists to supervise and maintain all aspects of operations within two residential programs supporting adults with developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: supervise, train and mentor employees; ensure that each individual receiving services has a comprehensive plan and the support necessary to achieve their personal goals and needs; prepare, review, teach, and/or submit all required administrative paperwork; ensure coverage is provided for all positions within the program and respond to crisis situations during off duty hours as required.
Full time, exempt position. Oversees two programs located in Bear, DE. Varied schedule may include late afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnights. Salary depends on experience.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Minimum of five years training/experience in a human service setting working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities, Bachelor's degree preferred. Supervisory experience is required. Must demonstrate ability to communicate both verbally and in writing; read, interpret, and apply written information such as policies, procedures, person centered plans, training and staff development readings; basic household management skills; be physically able to lift and participate in physical activities of daily living; possess a valid driver's license, have access to a privately maintained vehicle; operate agency vehicle when required. Must possess ability to pass Child Abuse, state and FBI background clearances. Must be able to work a varied schedule and provide direct coverage when necessary.
