With general autonomy, this position has bottom line responsibility for the financial and technical success of the project. Has responsibility for all phases of project planning and execution on very large projects, up to $40M. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls international projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company. Has responsible for day to day contact and communication with the client and focuses on providing client satisfaction. Alternatively, may have responsibility for management and contract performance on two or more smaller projects. Possesses knowledge of the respective industry. Supervises a diverse work force (Expats/TCNs/FNs)of up to 1000 personnel directly and through subordinate leaders. Job role is independently accountable for a major profit/loss center.
Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree and a minimum of 15 years related experience, including several years of experience at the Project Manager level.
Experience in BOS type work scopes (operations, maintenance, engineering, construction, procurement, grounds, etc.)
Tenacity and resolve in USG contract management Combination of long-term strategic thinking coupled with near-term disciplined, structured, tactical planning and implementation
Record of setting continuous improvement targets and systematically measuring business results Working in austere environment and some past association with military operations would be a plus
