PT&C has an opening for a program management analyst supporting a Federal Client in Montgomery County Maryland. Seeking an agile, proactive, individual with three (3) or more years of project management background, consulting skills and experience, and excellent communication skills in developing effective briefings for senior management.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop project management strategies to improve Capital Asset Project Execution in accordance with DOE requirements
Evaluate project management earned value data on project performance and determine appropriate corrective actions
Maintain project documentation for the Capital Asset Project Lifecycle
Develop and conduct briefings to senior executives on program status, cost, schedules, trends, accomplishments
The selected candidate will also be expected to participate in project/task management, developing technical capabilities, and in proposal development. He or she will be responsible for delivering high quality work, and thinking and working in a consultative manner
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Four (4) year Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. An advanced degree in a related field (business, finance, engineering, management science, public policy, industrial management or similar) is preferred
Excellent communication skills both oral and written
Certification as a PMP or actively seeking PMP or CEE status
Proficient in MS office particularly Excel applications, MS Access, MS Project
Experience in working with IT applications and programming is a plus
Consulting background in energy and project management of complex projects
Three (3) or more years professional experience and knowledge of the principles and practices of project management
Prior consulting experience required and proven business development skills a must
A fundamental knowledge of practices, theories, techniques and methods of quality management and organizational principles and practices
The ability to work independently, to a deadline and with a high degree of accuracy
Experience analyzing program funding and activity data for the development of performance metrics and tracking and reporting of program performance against established metrics and budget
Ability to work closely with a client to develop and continue to grow project plans for the current assignment/project and to develop long term and deep relationships with senior client managers
Past experience working with Federal Agencies on Program Management services
Knowledge of and experience with DOE policies, functional requirements, and capabilities related to briefing and presentation support, document review and evaluation, document preparation and meeting support, although not critical, would be beneficial
