Program Manager – Installation Service
One of the most unique cross-discipline roles at Sunrun, this position requires an insightful knowledge of residential solar construction, comfort with developing and expanding partner relationships, tact in translating the oftentimes rough-and-tumble installation experience into the vision of a mass-market consumer offering, and comfort bridging the chasm between selling solar and building solar. You will play a defining role in unlocking Sunrun’s Installation Service for mass market scale.
Your responsibility will be working with Sunrun’s Installation Service Partners to drive a continuously improving and mainstream customer experience through the post-sale process.
This role will interact with and rely on your talented colleagues on our Channel Sales and Project Operations teams, in addition to collaborating closely with your counterparts in our partners’ organizations.
Manage the expansion and flawless execution of Sunrun’s Installation Service with our participating partners
Manage the service delivery to a defined budget and service level attainment from partners
Interface with customers
Determine jurisdictional requirements for installation and design processes to meet the requirements as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible
Fuse competing interests like sales & operations into a harmonious, efficient and optimized platform
Challenge conventional industry thinking and practice to find new ways to make the customer’s experience with Sunrun better than with the competition
Accurately forecast build capacity requirements and ensure enough resources are positioned to meet demand
7-10 years of related program management experience
Solar or residential construction is a plus!
Attention to detail so that every customer’s experience is fantastic
Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating via indirect channels such as authorized dealers and distributors
Experience in business to consumer product lines is a definite advantage
Possess an understanding of at-scale residential construction economics with at-scale customer acquisition economics to solve for a long-lasting, profitable program for all parties
Ability to be successful in an environment of continuous improvements and stretch targets
Ability to analyze information and data, draw conclusions and develop key insights. Most specifically the ability to examine pipelines, uncover the “rat in the snake” and pursue actions to break the bottleneck
You will be an organized team member, able to meet and beat commitments to the company and our partners; as well as manage your time to deliver effectively against many competing priorities
Four-year college degree minimum
Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Must be able to travel 30% domestic travel within assigned area
Expert in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce.com
