This program manager is responsible for operations objectives for Inventory Control & Quality Assurance (ICQA) for Amazon Fresh business in North America. This position requires a candidate with the proven ability to drive process improvements & the ability to maintain impeccable quality levels in the face of explosive growth while motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline-driven environment. They must be able to teach, educate managers, from Area Manager through Director, on the importance of quality programs, gain agreement on program execution, and hold others accountable to results.

Core responsibilities include:
• Drive creation of quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Change/Six Sigma initiatives to enable their Functional Area and ultimately the Fulfillment Centers (FC) to meet and exceed Business Plans
• Measure the quality and inventory transaction integrity accuracy while providing feedback to the operations
• Review and analysis of customer defect data with development of corresponding action plans to reduce defects
• Develop and execute daily, weekly & monthly action plans that increase quality, inventory accuracy and service
• Establish and maintain defect free inventory handling procedures for processes from vendor through customer
• Develop and mentor ICQA Area and Operations managers through dotted line reporting structure
• Identify sources of quality defects using data, drive countermeasures and measure results
• Gain agreement on solutions and countermeasures to eliminate defects, hold others accountable to execution of quality programs. • Establish SOX requirements and ensure compliance across all Fresh sites

Basic Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• A completed Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or 2+ years Amazon experience
• 5+ years Operations Management experience (including Inventory control/Quality Assurance) in manufacturing, production or distribution environment
• Knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques required
• Proficient with MS Excel
• Must be willing to travel as necessary, up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:
• MBA or Master’s Degree in Operations, Supply Chain or Logistics
• 2+ years managing small to medium size (2-8) cross functional teams
• Ability to solve problems and come up with innovative solutions
• Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
