Education Pioneers seeks a skilled program manager to oversee the planning and execution of our Graduate School Fellowship, Yearlong Fellowship, and Analyst Fellowship across the Southern Region (Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Washington, DC) and to recruit Fellows for our Texas Fellowship programs. This role presents an exciting opportunity to directly impact the career trajectory of our talented fellows from across the country, while executing strategies which directly align to and support our long-term outcomes of “increasing top talent in education” and “preparing leaders to lead.” Reporting to the Texas Program Director and working closely with the DC Metro Area Program Director and Southern Region Expansion Manager, as well as collaborating with the entire Southern Region team, the Program Manager will serve as the primary agent to select and onboard Graduate School and Analyst Fellows and to facilitate a powerful and transformational experience for the cohorts. The Program Manager will develop and manage relationships with Education Pioneers team members throughout the organization, as well as Fellowship candidates and current Fellows.

Design and Assist with the Implementation of a transformative and outstanding experience for Graduate School, Year Long and Analyst Fellows across the Southern Region
  • Design key program elements to support Fellows’ long-term career goals and welcome Fellows into our Alumni network, including professional development seminars and networking events across all Fellowship programs
  • Contribute knowledge and expertise to help inform aspects of the national design, content and resources used for the all Fellowship programs
  • Adapt national program resources to address local context and incorporate local issues
  • Facilitate the Analyst Fellowship programmatic events and assist with the facilitation of Graduate School & Yearlong events
  • Provide direct and targeted support to Analyst Fellows regarding their Fellowship experience
  • Effectively monitor and evaluate the success of the Fellowship programs
Support our national strategy to recruit, select, and place a diverse group of talented graduate students into the Graduate School Fellowship, Year Long Fellowship and Analyst Fellowship Programs in Texas
  • Recruit and select a diverse group of 57 talented candidates into Education Pioneers' Texas Fellowship programs (Graduate School Fellowship, Yearlong Fellowship, Analyst Fellowship) in 2013
  • Represent Education Pioneers at Texas recruiting events and generate excitement for our program among prospective applicants
  • Develop new talent pipelines for our Texas Fellowship programs
  • Conduct in-depth interviews with applicants to assess their candidacy for our program
  • Work closely with the Recruitment and Admissions team to ensure a strong fellow talent pipeline
  • Work closely with the Southern Region team to make final decisions regarding admissions into our Fellowship programs
Experience and Qualifications
  • Experience successfully delivering a program in a fast-paced environment, and designing and facilitating events that foster critical, meaningful discussion among diverse groups of adults
  • Demonstrated skill in relationship building with internal and external partners, and moving groups of people toward a common goal
  • An ability to plan, organize and prioritize in order to manage a diverse workload, multiple demands, and deadline sensitive projects, while maintaining strong attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness
  • Excellent self-starter willing to work independently a significant portion of the time in a non-traditional, “virtual” environment
  • Two or more years of relevant professional experience including project management, coaching/mentoring, and professional development
  • Demonstrated track record of surpassing goals and meeting exacting performance standards
  • Recruitment experience preferred
  • Current knowledge of the current K-12 education reform landscape required
