Northrop Grumman has an opportunity for a Senior Program Manager to lead a team executing an exciting program involving Maritime System Development, Integration, and Life Cycle sustainment. Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion.
Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
Coordinates the preparation of proposals , business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.
Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of twenty (20) years experience in DoD programs is required.
Solid understanding of the principles of Systems Engineering, Software Development, Systems Integration, and Life Cycle Support processes.
Must possess experience with managing a large (ACAT 1/2) program.
Experience with managing subcontractors in an IPT structure along with extensive experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Principles.
Must be familiar with Open Architecture, Open Business Model precepts and execution.
Demonstrated experience with team building and leadership skills.
US Citizenship is required in order to obtain and maintain required security clearance.
Ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in management of Surface Navy Programs. Familiar with Network Centric Warfare precepts and Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred.
