The Program Manager Water & Process Technologies will be responsible for building a cross-functional project team and guiding that team to achieve a commercially successful product.
In addition you will:
Lead cross-functional NPI teams using the NPI process
Create a vision of successful project completion and motivate team members to achieve all project goals
Manage the project schedule, track resources and identify critical path events
Negotiate with department managers for assignment of personnel to the project team
Resolve conflicting specifications and technical issues
Develop a productive relationship with senior management to include monthly briefings on project progress and obtaining required support for project
Understand technologies used in the project sufficiently to communicate the technical issues involved, to be able to identify critical obstacles, and to make accurate decisions on the technology
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 5 years of experience in various levels of project management in a technical, engineering or research environment
Possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States

Comprehensive knowledge of managing highly technical multi-disciplinary teams
Boundary-less team player that can get work done in a matrix organization, with multiple projects
Demonstrated facilitation skills
Excellent communication skills with ability to effectively communicate project concepts and status to project teams, peers, senior staff and customers
Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint
Green Belt training (GE employees only)
Familiarity with the “Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)” published by the Project Management Institute
Master’s Degree or MBA from an accredited college or university
