The Program Manager-Business Development will help to bridge the brand growth within government and industry by researching and identifying suitable growth opportunities for the company. There will be an emphasis placed on governmental program development for the ANAB brand however the function of this position will also include industry opportunities and growth areas within ACLASS and FQS. Additionally, the basic function of this position will require the individual to mature the new programs through the adoption by operations. Therefore this position holds the responsibility of the entire transition from sales to operations and will need to be integral in these handoffs.
Duties and Responsibilities: Discover opportunities in government and industry for ANAB programs as well as the ACLASS and FQS brands. This will require the research and identification of suitable growth opportunities while overseeing the maturation and transition of the program into operations.
•Identify, develop, mature and lead the implementation transition for new government and industry programs within the ANAB brand.
•Identify, develop and mature new growth opportunities within the ACLASS and FQS brands
•Network with regulators and specifiers to initiate new growth areas for the company. This includes research, conference attendance and committee participation.
*Lead teams of specialists and staff during development of new programs. This includes but is not limited to Committees of Experts (including key staff members), staff teams for financial and operations purposes and other development teams as required.
•Work seamlessly between brand managers and staff through the brands of the company.
•Market and sell new programs to existing and potential new certification bodies
•Cooperate with parent companies and promote cross selling
•Maintain and develop organizational culture, values and reputation in its markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/official bodies
•Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Five or more years of related experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
•Strong understanding of business development
•Strong understanding of marketing
•Strong understanding of sales
•Understanding of government networking, government sales and federal contracting
•Ability to foster a teamwork environment and interact in a positive manner with individuals from various groups internally and externally
•Ability to communicate and interact at all levels of government and industry.
•Simultaneously manage several projects

•Identify, champion, develop and introduce new products
•Supply vision and imagination in order to identify for appropriate opportunities
•Excellent written, listening and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
•Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel
•Demonstrate sound administrative execution
Working Conditions: Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require frequent overnight travel. The location for this position will be in Alexandria, VA so to allow easy and immediate access to Washington D.C.
