As a member of the Arcadia team, the Program Manager operates as a Principal Consultant and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific technology projects within an account. Program Managers ensure consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals at the program level. Principal Consultants have a key role in facilitating our company’s growth in the healthcare marketplace. Candidates for this position must have prior program management experience and industry specific knowledge. Consulting experience in the healthcare industry and experience leading technology projects is preferred. This position requires that the successful candidate has the ability to proactively seek to attain client satisfaction, adapt well to change, adjust to challenging situations, and quickly learn new skills.

Specifically, the Program Manager will be required to manage client accounts, lead teams of professionals from Arcadia, clients and other third parties, and be proactive in managing the executive relationships with the client to deliver results beyond the client’s expectation. They must also be driven to find new opportunities within clients to further develop Arcadia’s business.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Program management and project leadership of information technology projects
  • Delivering multiple consecutive projects within a program and maintaining accountability for project success
  • Consolidating multiple project plans into a program plan
  • Defining, maintaining and executing on an account plan that is in line with Arcadia’s company strategy
  • Defining and implementing governance for projects and programs
  • Managing large program budgets, tracking, and reporting profitability
  • Communicating with and presenting to client executives and management, including building executive-level dashboards
  • Identifying issues and risk and driving timely resolution
  • Monitoring metrics that provide insight into the health of projects and identifying/implementing steps to keep those projects on track
  • Building business cases to support strategic decisions
  • Defining and delivering proposals for account
  • Collaborating with peers and sharing subject matter knowledge
  • Managing multiple large teams of diverse technical and business professionals
  • Developing staff and mentoring junior resources, including developing entry-level consultants into productive, effective members of the team
  • 5+ years of experience in running technology and healthcare projects and programs
  • Previous experience with healthcare information technology required
  • Previous management or technology consulting experience required (1 to 5 years)
  • Fully understand the SDLC and managing complex software implementations
  • PMP Certification a plus
  • Exceptional management and team leadership experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Creative and Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Our typical project requires 50% – 70% travel. A valid driver’s license and motor vehicle are required since a majority of projects also require local travel.
