Description:

•Lead program team to achieve program objectives (cost, schedule, quality and technical performance), while managing risks and opportunities.
•Manage materials definition and configuration by managing support from product engineering, process engineering, and configuration management.
•Manage the program activities involving department or cross-functional teams. Focuses on delivery within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Manage cost for program materials in support of program requirements.
•Lead program team to achieve program objectives (cost, schedule, quality and technical performance), while managing risks and opportunities.
•Ensure program budget, materials availability, quality and technical performance are met by managing and directing the activities of team members. Maintain project and technical documentation.

Candidate must be able to work effectively across all related engineering, fabrication and maintenance disciplines related to aircraft modifications and flight test. An engineering and/or flight test background is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to write competitive proposals, lead unique one-of-a-kind aircraft modification programs, and direct research and development flight test programs. Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) tenants is a must. Practical experience with Microsoft Project or similar software is a plus.

Required Experience:
Preferred Experience:
•10+ years of successful program management/project engineering experience related to aerospace projects.
•Project Management Certification
•Previous management experience or;
•A combination of education and experience equivalent to above

Preferred Knowledge / Ability:
•Financial procedures and systems preferably in the Aerospace industry
•Thorough understanding of program phases and related analysis and reporting
•Strong understanding of program financial analysis and reporting
•Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Required Education:
Bachelors in related discipline
