Program Manager

Elavon launched a global cross-functional team focused on launching revenue generating mobile commerce products. The focus of this team will include mobile payments, mobile payment acceptance, integrated value-add services and other adjacent technologies in conjunction with the Mobile Commerce Strategy of the Elavon business. The specific product focus will be on products and solutions related to the evolution at the point-of-sale (POS) and the interactive payment experience on smartphones and tablet devices.

Facilitates and manages Programs through managing and understanding the process and procedures of a Product/Solution taking it from concept, design, development, deployment to end-of-life.

Foresees risks, challenges and escalations and manages their mitigation to keep a Program on schedule.


to navigate different Organizations to understand, document and optimize micro-processes for the benefit of the macro-process

Operate in an Agile/SCRUM environment to bring solutions to the market that address needs determined through feedback collected from the market

Collaborates with the project team to identify the approach, deliverables, schedule and tools to deliver the project within established constraints.

Works with all members of assigned project team to estimate costs and timing for tasks such as project strategy, functional design, visual design, technology requirements, etc., utilizing established estimating process and tools.

Coordinates all activities of the project team and ensures that project tasks are completed by: scheduling and facilitating project-related team meetings (i.e. kick-offs, status, internal/client reviews, etc.), communicating action steps to team, and delivering weekly status reports to project team and management.

Develops, maintains, reviews and/or disseminates all project documentation including status reports, invoices, change orders, project schedules, budgets, and post mortem reviews. Ensures that all project documentation is produced in the standard format, follows internal documentation processes and is reviewed and approved.

Manages and controls project scope and the change control process to ensure that projects are completed according to schedule and within budget.

Responsible for raising and maintaining awareness of all project issues and risks and for identifying and driving solutions agreed upon by the appropriate members of the team.

Manages project financial lifecycle, including estimates, revenue forecasts, invoicing, payables, receivables, etc.

Works with resource management to ensure that projects are appropriately staffed, including both employee and contract resources. Thinks creatively in solving staffing conflicts and identifying different staffing solutions for delivering outstanding projects and tasks.

5-10 years of related experience and 3+ years of senior program experience. Level of experience will help dictate level of position.


A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, finance, accounting or other business or technology related field. An MBA is a plus.


Agile (e.g. SCRUM) and Waterfall software development certifications and/or equivalent experience.


ITIL certified and/or equivalent experience.


Demonstrated management, leadership and interpersonal skills.


Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, leadership, influencing, decision, problem-solving, and strategic management skills to facilitate working in a global cross-functional team.


A strong analytical and detail orientation.


PC proficiency using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Project and Office


Limited to moderate travel – 0-25%
