The position involves working with PAETC Principal Investigator (PI) and clinical faculty in developing projects, assisting in writing grants and reports, collecting and analyzing data, producing evaluation reports, and assisting with publications. We are looking for an individual who has strong analytical and statistical skills to assist the faculty with evaluating the outcomes of various projects and developing papers for publications. Experience and knowledge about HIV/AIDS is a plus. The PAETC is a federally funded center with the mission of educating and training physicians, NPs, PAs, nurses, oral medicine professionals, and other health care professionals to prevent and manage HIV and AIDS. The PAETC was established in 1988 and has a core faulty of three physicians, three dentists, one nurse practitioner, and one Ph.D. educator. It has a staff of four individuals who support the faculty. The PAETC conducts clinical training for family medicine and internal medicine residences in Southern California, conducts skill building workshops for HIV providers, and provides clinical consultations to HIV providers working at community and Ryan White funded clinics. The PAETC has two fellowships: one for those who will manage HIV patients in community settings and one for those who will be working in correctional settings. Other PAETC projects include improving HIV testing and care in emergency room settings and within the Los Angeles County Jail.
