Enterprise’s Ohio program provides leadership, capital and policy solutions for partner capacity, affordable housing, permanent supportive housing, Green Communities and financial empowerment programs. We work with Ohio’s leading non-profit and for-profit developers, local government, funders and other key partners to solve the toughest state and local level community development and affordable housing issues.
The Program Officer works as part of the Ohio team to implement Enterprise’s affordable housing, Green Communities and community partnership agendas. The focus of this work includes leading Enterprise’s community development partnerships; supporting customers to structure housing projects and related financing; integrating Green Communities and sustainable practices and policies; ; and the general delivery of resources and technical assistance to community-based organizations and public agencies with whom Enterprise partners in these program areas.
•Bachelor’s degree and at least six (6) years of relevant work experience; Graduate degree may be substituted for up to two years of experience.
•Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of affordable housing finance and development
•Experience with the use of the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit and with Ohio Housing Finance Agency’s and the State of Ohio’s programs and resources
•Demonstrated leadership in effectively coordinating complex community projects involving multiple partners
•Experience with and knowledge of non-profit program management, project development, and implementation
•Strong presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills
•Ability to identify and analyze typical work situations and develop solutions.
•Actively seeks out working in team-oriented approach.
•Ability to operate independently under minimal supervision.
•Strong oral and written communication skills; strong editing and proofing skills.

•Coordinate Enterprise’s Affordable Housing, Housing Preservation, and Green Communities programs
•Lead Enterprise’s work with local partners in new sustainability efforts, including EcoDistricts and the Climate Action Plan
•Support national Enterprise divisions in making local project grant, debt and equity investments
•Coordinate excellent customer service to local developers and CDCs
•Provide technical assistance and capacity building to affordable housing project sponsors including developers, property managers and service providers
•Manage grant funds to partners and consultant contracts, including budgets, scopes of work and reporting requirements
•Assist in managing technical assistance and programs in other areas as identified.
