NBCUniversal is building a new technical operation which will serve as the primary DR for all NBCUniversal networks, host the TV Everywhere streaming operations, and provide media prep services for the International Operations. This NBCUniversal operation will be located in Centennial, Colorado. Development of the facility is underway and will reach operational readiness in mid-2013.

The POM Supervisor will be responsible for helping establish the Program Operations Group in this new facility. Responsibilities will include building and managing a team of POMs to fulfill all program management services for over 30 international channels which distribute in more than 15 different languages. The POM Supervisor will be accountable for measuring and controlling quality across POM group, by driving best practice training, standard operation procedures, technology, and workflows as the operations grows and is established. Since the build will be underway the supervisor will also be asked to perform project responsibilities including running project meetings, managing timelines and developing new processes.

• Subject Matter Expert for all program operations services, processes, and technology
• Recruit, coach, mentor, lead, train, and manage a team of POMs for overall organizational success
• Gather and provide workflow & system requirements for program operation functions to the technology and engineering teams
• Ownership of program operation services for all international channels located at NBCUniversal Dry Creek Operation.
• Define, document, and maintain operational processes and workflows
• Develop and maintain Operator SOP's, Training Matrices, and Training Documents
• Successfully onboard and train new POM staff members
• Lead program operations to ensure 99.999% availability and reliability
• Work closely with all other media operation groups to resolve any content related issues to ensure material is delivered on time
• Consistently assess POM processes and technology to help develop improvements that will enable continued growth and productivity
• Be in constant communication with London based programming regarding media prep status and content related issues
• Develop and measure on operational quality metrics to drive rigor and accountability within
the operations
• Be available and on call on 24/7 basis (excluding extreme circumstances) to receive escalation and trouble shoot issues
• Willing to stay late and work extra hours for launches and special events
• 5+ years experience in Program Operations/Account Management
• 2+ years experience in Project Management
• 2+ years experience in a role with a track record of proven leadership, effective staff management, high energy level, and strong team skills
• 2+ years experience with operations management in a media prep environment
• Prior experience with Visio and Powerpoint
• Willingness and ability to work or be on call at any time, sometimes on short notice in order to support a 24/7/365 operation
Desired Characteristics
• BA/BS in related field
• Extensive and significant experience, understanding and knowledge of media prep technical systems, standards and processes
• Strategic project management leadership
• Prior experience with REACT, OTTO, Webscheduler, and Mediator in a media prep environment
• Prior experience with international operations and workflows
• Experience with scheduling and resource management
• Strong attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills
• Effectively flexible in approach, and responds well to pressure
• A track record of meeting or exceeding performance expectations
