Job Description:
Our client, a leader in design, development and manufacture of innovative aerospace systems, located in Boulder, Colorado, has a requirement for a Program Scheduler. This is a 3+ month contract engagement.

Description of Service

To provide schedule development, maintenance, reporting and coordination to program IPTs.

What you’ll do:
Provide assistance and guidance to program manager (PM), technical leads and control account managers (CAM) in developing appropriate schedule tasks, flow planning, summary roll-up tasks and accurate status.

Assist the lead program scheduler with detail schedule alignment to the program master schedule.
Develop all necessary schedule reports and metrics to present the data in a timely and consistent manner.

Understand the earned value reporting requirements on the programs.

Review the reports and variances with the PM and key program personnel.

Prepare monthly charts for customer program management review.

Assist with establishing the earned value quantifiable backup data (QBD) with each CAM.

Establish and maintain schedule traceability to the earned value reporting system.

Provide support to the Budget Analyst (BA) in establishing and maintaining cost and schedule alignment.

Must have experience resource loading schedules using Microsoft Project 2003 or greater

Review with the PM upcoming resource requirements for the program, including labor and non-labor (facilities, testing areas, production operations, etc.) critical resources.

Facilitate the development and implementation of recovery schedules as required on the program.

Support the PM, BA and CAM's with schedules as required for contract changes and what-if analysis.

Support the CAM with variance analysis requirements as it pertains to the schedule, including problem identification, schedule and resource impact, and corrective actions.

Experience using Project Server 2007 or 2010 desirable

What you’ll need:
BS in a related field, plus 8 or more years’ related experience.
In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level should be considered.
Each higher-level degree, i.e. Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience.
Two years of related experience may be substituted for each year of education.
