The primary function of the Program Specialist is to assist the Program Director in maintaining assessment reports related to accreditation and monitor program achievement. Knowledge in use of Livetext , among other programs, to capture data. This position is crucial in the success of the program. The Program Specialist is responsible for data management, organization of program events, maintaining student records, clerical support for 4 faculty members, travel arrangements, ordering of supplies, assisting with recruitment and providing all support for the Family Therapy Center and faculty practice. The candidate must be knowledgeable regarding FERPA and also be familiar with other standards of client privacy. The candidate will have daily interaction with graduate students and must have exceptional communication skills and professional interaction. They will also coordinate with the Program Specialists in Macon to ensure that programs goals are accomplished. The candidate will work within the Department of Psychiatry coordinating and working with three support staff and the Faculty Administrator to assist with overarching goals of the department's mission.
High school diploma or GED and 3 years of administrative office support experience, to include extensive use of Microsoft Excel, are required. A degree or prior college coursework in business or another closely related field is highly desirable. Candidate must be able to work independently without direct supervision, be organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent computer and communication skills. Additionally, candidates must have the ability to maintain confidentiality, experience in exercising independent judgment in handling difficult and sensitive issues, and the ability to project professionalism.
This position requires Typing, Word, and Excel tests. Selection of the final candidate is contingent upon successful completion of a credit and criminal background check.
