The Project Analyst position is part of the Energy Technology Company (ETC) Finance Dept's Financial Accounting & Reporting (FA&R) team. The Finance team is located in downtown Houston.
Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Project Analyst located in Houston, TX through December 23, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Review open commitments related to projects and balance ETC budgets against partner availability control, when required.
Update SAP project data as needed (e.g. Project Leader changes) and monitor projects for inactivity.
Monitor monthly billing and provide assistance with resolving projects that do not bill out with appropriate documentation; create, maintain and analyze monthly billing metrics (e.g. Billing Box accuracy).
Responsible for handling partner billing questions and providing supplemental reports when required.
Provide assistance with resolving chargeback situations in a timely manner; follow established process for credits issued including entry of proper documentation in PR&D.
Monitor and assist with billing suspense account corrections and monitor PR&D for backlog.
Attend meetings related to ETC billing process, portfolio and project setup; share best practices/lessons learned and work towards more standardization and process improvement.
Keep the Decision Support Financial Analysts informed of relevant information and changes in processes.
Strong Microsoft Suite skills with intermediate to advanced Excel experience.
Minimum 2yrs oil and gas experience.
SAP & PR&D system familiarity.
Microsoft Excel pivot table working knowledge.
ETC business knowledge with working knowledge of ETC project management.
Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
