Project Controls Manager

We are currently seeking a Project Controls Manager to provide support to our Engineering & Commercialization Groups with all aspects of project controls, including project cost reporting, planning and schedule development, capital spending forecasts, resource planning and standardization. Reporting to the VP Engineering , the home based Project Controls Manager will provide support to Project Managers, Commercialization Managers and Engineering staff as required to assist with Capital and Expense projects.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:
Planning and Scheduling
Initial project planning / scheduling to guide business decisions and project development
Prepare detailed execution level schedules working with the Project Managers
Maintain and improve standard schedule templates and resource pools
Support regular project schedule updates in consultation with the Project Manager
Resource load all project schedules to provide accurate forecasts of CCC resource demands and limitations

Project Cost Control
Own CCC’s Project Cost Reporting Tool and lead improvements
Support further development of a standard WBS chart of accounts for capital projects
Develop project cost reports at inception to reflect approved budgets and execution plans
Load commitments versus budgets and reconcile to CCC’s accounting systems
Support project cost forecasts at completion in consultation with the Project Manager
Prepare capital spending forecasts from project cost projections, schedules and contracted payment terms
Integrate current cost forecasts into CCC’s Engineering and Commercialization databases.
Work in consultation with the Capital Purchasing Manager and accounting staff to improve the commitment and reporting process.
Collect historical cost data to further optimize CCC’s Parametric Estimating Tool
Work directly with Capital Finance group to manage annual spending plan and forecast
Provide leadership to ensure consistent cost reporting across the company

Qualifications:
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Project Controls Leader, preferably with a well-known EPC contractor
Expert level proficiency with MicroSoft Project scheduling software and Excel
Proficient with MS Access desirable
Willingness to travel up to 30%
