This position is an entry level position that is located in Elk Grove Village, IL
Under the general direction of the On-site Interpretation Manager, the Project Coordinator provides ongoing support by performing day-to-day activities related to scheduling On-Site Interpretation assignments and Language Line University Testing. Must be able to coordinate multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, while providing excellent customer service to internal and external clients.
Responsible for the entire life-cycle of Face to Face interpretation projects assigned.
Responsible for fielding all in-bound calls/emails to the department and resolving both customer and interpreter inquiries promptly and proactively.
Ensuring the successful fulfillment of Face to Face interpreting assignments in line with customer service levels.
Work with sales staff to obtain and clarify project specifications.
Produce accurate work orders, purchase orders and maintain tracking and cost control information.
Capture, manage and edit details of bookings for the Face to Face Interpreting service according to customer requirements.
Allocate interpreters to assignments for all customers including short notice requests.
Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with interpreters to ensure loyalty to the company.
Able to provide superior level of service to end users at all times.
Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned
Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical, high attention to detail, excellent troubleshooting skills, and creative problem solving skills.
Excellent follow-up skills; the ability to understand and develop the "big picture"; adaptability to process changes; and a strong sense of importance and ownership
Ability to be self-motivated and self-directed and think and act independently while also being team oriented
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
Experience in negotiating price rates with external vendors strongly preferred.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Must possess effective time management skills.
