Responsibilities: Assists the Sales team in the development of margin sheets, quotes, and supply agreements. Assists the Sales team in managing sales opportunities in SalesForce.com (SFDC). Provides administrative support in communication to other Columbia Machine departments of on-going sales activity via Chatter, SFDC reports, dashboards, and regular email communication.
Manages project tasks, milestones, and critical dates in SFDC. Coordinates communications and confirms key details, including project requirements, engineering drawings, equipment schedules, change orders, installation and delivery dates, and shipping arrangements between the customer and impacted Columbia departments to ensure all key milestones are met. Communicates and manages Project milestones with Engineering, Purchasing, Production Control, and Shipping. Communicate and manages Engineering Releases with Production Control.
Assists Engineering and Procurement by communicating with key vendors regarding on-time delivery performance and technical transmittals and approvals. Works with the Installation/Construction Specialist (ICS) to establish and communicate major milestones for the installation and commissioning of equipment. Works with the ICS with regards of warranty claims and part shortages during the installation and commissioning of equipment. Manages change orders throughout the project.
Works with customers for proper change order approval and assists the Technical Director in the proper documentation and in invoicing for all change orders. Provides a single point, Vancouver based contact throughout the project for the customer. Serves as the ultimate customer advocate, while protecting the Company ’s interests by ensuring that unresolved issues are visible; developing win/win solutions and resolving issues in a timely manner. Maintains and expands our relationship with new accounts; may include up to 20% travel to support sales and service efforts.
Skills: Proficient in SalesForce.com (CRM), Lawson (ERP), Word, Excel, PowerPoint, " Outlook. Strong organizational, interpersonal communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with the construction industry, project management, and workflow planning. Strong technical aptitude; has the ability to deal with abstract and concrete variables with a high attention to detail.
Education/Experience: Bachelor ’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent work experience. Five years professional experience supporting industrial sales, construction, and/or project management.
