We are seeking a Project Coordinator to support the planning and development of technology projects. The Project Coordinator is responsible tracking project progress and changes, ensuring product development and project deadlines are met, managing the allocation of resources, and preparing management reports. The Project Coordinator will also oversee the process for submitting, vetting, and tracking project proposals.
Manage project timelines and a ssist in creating project schedules and resource planning with Project Managers
Contribute to process improvement and provide/implement best practices for project management
Oversee resource management to ensure appropriate allocation of resources exists to deliver on key initiatives
Provide technical assistance to Senior Management and Project Managers in resource allocation, project prioritization, and regular portfolio reviews.
Research, collect and evaluate project data and metrics necessary to prepare project and portfolio status reports
Provide insight on risks, options, cost/benefit analysis, and impact related to the projects
Adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
Demonstrate thought leadership, analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Identify and document project issues and risks in information technology project plans and escalate to senior management
Monitor and maintain project communication plans and process
Maintain project issue and risk process and/or defect logs
Liaise among Project Managers, Information Technology Development Teams, Business Stakeholders, and Senior Management
Minimum 3-5 years working experience in a mid to large scale business environment, Financial Services background a plus
BS in information technology, computer science, engineering, or business management
Thorough knowledge of project and productivity software: Microsoft Office, Project, Access, Excel. Experience with creating Gantt charts and managing Resource Planning with Microsoft Project is preferred
Strong communication, leadership and collaboration skills in order to clearly and effectively convey issue reports and other deliverables
Strong prioritization and planning skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
Must be able to work with a team, with focus on attention to details
