Seattle BioMed is currently seeking a Project Coordinator to provide administrative and project support for lab leaders in a research environment. He/she will support the completion of a wide range assignment, both core administrative responsibilities and high level project-oriented duties. This position works independently and focuses on meeting the specific needs of our Senior Scientists. He/she will partner and share information with other administrative staff throughout the institute to ensure that the Institutes administrative needs as a whole are met.
Assist in the coordination of multiple concurrent activities amongst various labs and coordinate the flow of information between teams to ensure that tasks and projects are on schedule and within budget
Responsible for complex administrative support for assigned Sr Scientists to include file/records management, correspondence, calendar management, meeting scheduling, hosting visitors, Faculty teaching/course activities, and Sr level Institute responsibilities
Organize and coordinate complex international travel
Coordinate grant application processes (Federal and Private) and publication submissions
Understand grant requirements and draft budgets. Track all report/proposal pieces to ensure report/proposal is submitted complete and on time.
Coordinate the preparation and submission of project annual reports and competing renewals
Provide financial tracking and reporting for Sr Scientists
Review, edit, and revise research materials which may include questionnaires, data collection instruments, and educational materials.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience :
Bachelors degree in a related field - science degree is a plus
3+ years administrative experience
Lab experience or experience in a research environment is a plus
Experience coordinating projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent computer and analytical skills. Ability to use Microsoft software including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Sharepoint
Strong ability to organize and prioritize a wide range of responsibilities
Ability to meet the needs of multiple lab leaders and manage multiple concurrent requests
Willingness and flexibility to contribute as needed to new or additional responsibilities
Work hours are generally 9:00am-6:00pm
